A babouche-style shoe crafted from soft grained leather, based on the SUNLIGHT model.
The upper is stitched into a bag-like structure, while the insole and lining are seamlessly integrated using natural leather through a platform construction method, providing a gentle, enveloping comfort for the foot.
A thin, lightweight rubber sole with a subtle heel allows the pair to be worn both outdoors and as refined lounge shoes.
The multiple stitched lines throughout the design echo the graceful bamboo curves found in Isamu Noguchi’s light sculptures, AKARI.
Platform Construction
