A canvas fabric sneaker based on SUNLIGHT.
Both the upper and lining are made from supple, highly breathable canvas, creating a light, airy fit that feels as if the foot is gently wrapped in fabric. The sole features OAO’s original sole unit, engineered specifically for comfort in urban life. With a total thickness of 6.5 cm, it combines two types of EVA with different hardness levels: firmer EVA on the outer side for stability, and softer EVA on the inner side for a comfortable, cushioned feel underfoot. This construction maximizes performance when walking on concrete and other hard surfaces.
The outsole uses lightweight rubber to achieve an ideal balance of reduced weight and reliable grip. Multiple stitch lines placed throughout the design echo the supple, curved lines of the bamboo ribs found in Isamu Noguchi’s light sculptures, AKARI.
