Starting Saturday, September 26, OAO will host a POPUP EVENT at RESTIR in Roppongi.
At this event, discover a wide selection of OAO products, with a focus on the brand’s signature SUNLIGHT series.
OAO’s iconic SUNLIGHT series is designed around AKARI, the light sculptures created by sculptor Isamu Noguchi. Inspired by the sculptural forms of AKARI, the series features multiple stitch lines extending across the upper, creating a distinctive sculptural presence within a minimal construction.
An AKARI sculpture will be installed at the venue, creating a special space where you can experience OAO’s products alongside the atmosphere and world of the brand.

SUNLIGHT
A signature OAO model featuring its iconic stitch detailing.
Inspired by Isamu Noguchi’s light sculpture AKARI, the design is defined by its distinctive stitching, while a 5.8 cm Vibram sole provides a soft, comfortable feel with lightweight cushioning.
SUNLIGHT CORE
An evolution of SUNLIGHT’s sculptural form, reimagined with a more substantial presence.
Featuring deep-grained leather and a bold expression inspired by Isamu Noguchi’s sculptures in stone and metal. The model retains the series’ signature stitch detailing while taking on a more pronounced, sculptural character.
SUNLIGHT ORB
A reimagining of SUNLIGHT in a soft, compact silhouette inspired by babouche-style footwear.
The Black version features supple grained leather, while the Brown version is crafted from suede. A moccasin-like construction, with the upper stitched into a pouch-like shape, creates a close, enveloping fit around the foot.
A lightweight rubber sole with a subtle heel completes the design, making it an effortless choice from outdoor settings to relaxed lounge environments.
SUNLIGHT PRIMA FLAT
A low-profile silhouette that embodies a sense of lightness and the mood of the moment.
Each colorway features a distinct material expression, from soft, subtly lustrous cow leather to supple suede. The sole uses Vibram’s thinnest and lightest cupsole, balancing a sharp, streamlined profile with cushioning and responsive propulsion for a light, effortless stride. A new standard in low-profile footwear that goes beyond aesthetics.
