A pair elegantly finished in cowhide leather characterized by a distinctive luster and deep grain (shibo). Pigskin is used for the foot-entry section of the lining, giving a snug, clinging fit.
This model adopts Vibram's new Zermatt sole. With a moderate 4.5 cm volume and a simply composed design, its outsole is equipped with "Traction Lug" technology, which keeps the cushioning soft while achieving high propulsion and the lightest weight in the OAO range.
The multiple stitch lines arranged throughout are designed to echo the supple bamboo-strip curves of Isamu Noguchi's light sculpture "AKARI."

Traction Lug®️
Using a patented mold manufacturing method, delicate 3D micro lugs are placed on the stairs as "lugs" that grip the ground. The ability to grip the ground and move forward (traction) when walking is improved by up to 25%.
