A collaborative tote bag by OAO and the internationally acclaimed photographer Daido Moriyama. It integrates a textile printed with one of Moriyama's iconic works, Stray Dog (Misawa no Inu), into the bag using OAO's original rivets.
About Daido Moriyama
Born in 1938 in Ikeda, Osaka. After beginning his career as a designer, Moriyama moved into photography, working as an assistant to Takeji Iwamiya and Eikoh Hosoe before becoming a freelance photographer in 1964. In 1967 he received the Newcomer's Award from the Japan Photo Critics Association for series including “Japan: A Photo Theater,” published in Camera Mainichi.
In recent years his work has been shown in major exhibitions worldwide, including at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (1999, touring to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Japan Society, New York), the National Museum of Art, Osaka (2011), and a joint exhibition with William Klein at Tate Modern, London (2012–13). He has received numerous prestigious honors, including the Infinity Award for Lifetime Achievement from the International Center of Photography, New York (2012), the Order of Arts and Letters from the French government (2018), and the Hasselblad Award (2019), earning him acclaim around the world.
