The entire upper is adorned with chain stitch embroidery—one of the oldest surviving embroidery techniques, in which each loop is secured by the next to form a continuous chain. Its richly textured surface lends the shoe a distinctive three-dimensional presence while evoking the warmth and character of time-honored handcraft.

Constructed using the durable Goodyear welt method, the shoe offers exceptional longevity without compromising comfort. Replacing the traditional leather insole board with a soft nonwoven material developed by Carl Freudenberg, it achieves a level of flexibility comparable to that of a sneaker while retaining the refined structure of classic welted footwear.
