From November 23, 2024 (SAT), OAO's limited-time showroom will open in Kyoto. This is a space where OAO's main and new models are displayed, and we provide product explanations and try-on services. The venue is a specially arranged space that designer Shinya Kushino usually uses as his atelier.

During the event, we will also exhibit works by Nakai Namika, a ceramic artist based in Kanazawa. Experimental and innovative pottery works created by manually shaping thinly stretched clay and creating distortions and cracks are a combination of strength and delicacy, allowing us to see new possibilities for ceramics and pottery. This is a valuable opportunity, so please take your time to take a look.

2016 Graduated from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Education, Hokkaido University of Education
2019 Completed the ceramics lab at Tajimi Ceramic Design Institute
2022 Kanazawa Completed Utatsuyama Crafts Studio

About sales of plates and utensils

In addition, Nakai's hand-made plates and utensils will also be on sale at the venue. You can choose your favorite piece from among the works, each with a different expression, while actually holding them in your hands. If you are interested, please speak to the staff on the day.
